What we do

Programmes built with the community, not for it

01

Women Empowerment

Formation and development of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), microfinance support, and leadership training that puts decision-making directly in women's hands. 300+ SHGs are active across Bhojpur district today.

02

Skill Development

Vocational training programmes and workshops — tailoring, embroidery, appliqué work, crochet jewellery and bangle-making — that build employable skills for over 50,000 women to date.

03

Livelihood Promotion

USHA Silai Schools, SME credit linkages, and enterprise mentoring facilitating employment and entrepreneurship for over 10,000 women, with 350+ women-led small businesses launched.

04

Health & Hygiene

Health check-up camps and awareness drives that have reached 20,000+ individuals, plus the promotion of smokeless chulhas and solar lighting in partnership with TERI.

05

Education

Adult literacy programmes and support for girls' and underprivileged children's access to schooling — part of BMKK's founding commitment to a literate, self-reliant community.

06

Artisan Development

Support for 3,500+ rural women artisans in securing government registration, design upgradation, and market linkages for their craft — from jewellery to handloom textiles.

07

Climate Resilience

Disaster-preparedness training (5,000+ youth trained) and initiatives promoting renewable, low-emission energy such as solar lighting in rural households.

08

Child Protection

Community-based initiatives addressing child labour through SHG strengthening, income generation, and school enrolment support for at-risk families.
